Are duplicate emails allowed when registering?
No. There are more than a few reasons this is discouraged on our system. If you are ZAA husband and wife, or sibling members who share the same email address, Hotmail, Yahoo, Excite etc., provides free webmail accounts. Hotmail is perhaps more popular due to integration capabilities in OutLook Express.
Why is the lost password in a question /answer format?
For additional security. When you lose your password, the system will call up the question you selected during registration and identify you with your unique answer. Once there is a match with your email address, the system will send your Zama ID and password to that email address. Be sure to make it simple enough to remember, but difficult for others to guess. If you think on it too hard, you might end up with the next question.

What if I lose my Zama ID?

Can I change my Zama ID?
This is not encouraged, but in very rare cases it may become necessary for you to change your Zama ID; CLICK HERE to contact Steve Miller.
I entered my password correctly, but it still doesn't work.
A cookie is a small piece of data stored by your browser. If your cookie file is corrupt, it may be that you will need to delete them. To delete your cookies, close all browser windows, find the "cookies" directory, and delete the appropriate cookie files.

If I update my info in the database, will these changes reflect in my registration record?
Yes. All updates made to an existing account will automatically be sent to the President.
If I delete my entire e-profile, can I still add it again later using the same username and password?
Yes.
What image formats can I upload?
Both JPG's and GIF's are allowed.
Are there any size restrictions to these images?
The maximum file upload is 50kb (50,000 bytes). There is also a photo size limit of Width=330 Height=220 (pixel dimensions). If you upload anything larger, it will snap back to it's default size.
How do I replace my existing photo?
Upload your new photo even if you saved it with a different name; the new will simply over-write the old.
How do I delete my existing photo?
In the add/ update section, you'll first need to:
1. delete your profile,
2. re-enter your profile, and
3. skip the photo upload field.
This will delete your photo at the server.
ONLINE CHAT
Is the chat room exclusive to ZAA only?
Yes. Our chat room is NOT connected to a public chat server.
Are private messages really private?
Absolutely. Private messages cannot be read by anyone else except the ones involved. Not even the admin/ mods can!
Why is my name still up there long after I leave?
The chat won't log you off automatically by closing your browser window. There are a few ways to log off completely.
1. Log off at the bottom of the chat screen or
2. Type /exit, /logout, /bye or /quit
otherwise, people may begin to suspect you have camped out there.

Is there a limit to how many photos I can submit?
Depends. For instance, 2 or more variations of the same subject is not encouraged. ;-)
POSSIBLE WEBSITE QUESTIONS
I have a pop-up blocker that doesn't recognize general website pop-up pages from ads.
This site uses a few javascript pop up windows. Although we all agree pop up ads are annoying, pop up windows within a site can be useful for quick referencing without leaving the page you are on.
You can install blockers that recognizes the difference, or allow pop-ups for our url (zamaalum.com). We do not advertise on this site.
